606.x Unit2 Overcurrent
Description
If the output current of the PULSAR reaches too high a value, it is switched off because of overcurrent to protect the roller heads.
In case of Pulsar15x, the threshold is at 400A peak current and for Pulsar30x, at 550A.
Remedy
With a PULSAR xx1 device:
- the welding frequency can be increased.
- the welding current can be reduced.
- the DC link voltage of the PULSAR can be reduced.
- the line input voltage can be checked.
- Check the welding transformer, Pulsar.
With a PULSAR xx4 device:
- the welding loop can be re-identified.
- Check the welding transformer, Pulsar.
