Visibility and connection status of a production line / machine depends on hardware but also on hardware settings and user rights


Summary

Production machines are connected to mySoudronic Insights via a router or directly with the control. Connectivity is available free of charge for machines delivered after October 2023. This machine feature is called "Insights Ready". Machines delivered before October 2023 need an Insights Ready Retrofit so they can be connected to mySoudronic Insights.

A whole production line can only be connected to mySoudronic Insights with Insights Pro. Please see also the following article: Insights Product Family.

Other causes may have an influence on visibility on mySoudronic Insights that have to be checked with our customer support.

 

Cause

  • Machine was delivered before October 2023 and is therefore not equipped with Insights Ready. Proceed with remedy point 1.
     
  • Production line is not equipped with Insights Pro. Proceed with remedy point 1.
     
  • If above causes can be excluded, Router configuration, network port or application right settings may be incorrect. Proceed with remedy point 2.
     
  • If the machine was bought from another mySoudronic Insights customer and Soudronic was not informed to set correct access settings. Proceed with remedy point 2.

 

Remedy

    1.  Please contact our After Sales Department for a sales quote if machine was delivered before October 2023. You need a Insights Ready Retrofit package. To connect a whole production line you need Insights Pro.
       
    2. Please create a support ticket to contact our Customer Support to identify the specific problem (connection issues, wrong settings, ...).
