630.x Position error too large
Description
A position error occurs if the controller detects an excessive deviation between the target position and the current motor (encoder) position (the regulator deviation was too large).
Remedy
- A position error occurs most frequently when the load exceeds the power of the servo amplifier and motor. A position error typically occurs during a crash or jam: check the machine or the corresponding drive for a crash or jam.
- But it can also be that the mechanics has a defect, or maintenance (bearing, lubrication, etc.) is needed: can the associated mechanics be moved by hand when the controller is switched off?
- If an incorrect option was selected in the machine control (mechanics), it can be that the ACOPOS uses incorrect controller settings for the installed mechanics and thus the control is too weak, and this could also lead to a position error.
- The position error occurs immediately when the controller is activated: a problem with the encoder system is probable. Check whether the encoder is correctly wired and connected. A defect in the encoder itself is also conceivable.
- When using new cables or changing the ACOPOS, check the following:
motor cable is not OK → two phases are mixed up.
The resolver cable is connected to the wrong motor.
