DISCON 2.0 Application
Application:
For use in welding machines to cool and lubricate the DISCON welding rollers. New formulation for increased lifetime and full performance for up to 1 year.
Maintenance:
To support the DISCON 2.0 performance, the new ecosystem (DISCON CLEANER & DISCON REFRESHER) can be used during production without losing NSF food approval. The service life can be extended if the emulsion remains within the specified.
Application:
For the annual cleaning of the DISCON cooling system before replacing DISCON Emulsion. Add the entire content into the old emulsion, allow the cleaner mixture to penetrate for 5 days. Applicable during production.
Step 1: Thoroughly clean the tank and all elements mounted on the tank lid and projecting into the tank, including pump bodies, pipes etc.
Step 2: Rinse the entire circuit with clean water.
Step 3: Repeat step 1 and replace the DISCON filter.
Application:
To refresh the emulsion between the annual change interval when DISCON cooling system is badly contaminated caused by increased temperatures or longer downtimes. Add the entire content into the emulsion. Applicable during production, no additional rinse of the circuit.
Monitoring DISCON (every 3 months)
1: Put the measuring strip
in the emulsion 10Sec.
2. Hold the measuring strip on the
package and match the color
3: Enter pH value.
pH value:
pH 9.5 = Start
pH 7.5 = Monitor monthly /
prepare refresh
pH 7 = 1. >1 year change

Concentration
Measurable by a refractometer see picture on the right.

8 vol.-% in water according to Soudronic instruction manual
- Use DISCON CLEANER = Instruction on the Product
- Remove upper part F of cooling unit.
- Clean the device and replace the DISCON Filter 63-510010040
- Pour 67 liters of water* into the tank H and mount the upper part.
- Introduce mixer pipe D into filler neck and turn until fixing hole is in line with tapped hole G in the upper part.
- Shake the DISCON 2.0 concentrate DSK gently for at least 30 seconds.
- Add the entire content of DISCON 2.0 concentrate DSK into the concentrate container B.
- Fit screw-top with stub pipe and inlet cock C onto concentrate container B.
- Insert stub pipe together with concentrate container into mixer pipe D as far as it will go.
- Open vent cock A.
- Switch on pump and keep it switched on in bypass mode for at least 5 minutes without interruption.
- After 5 minutes, open inlet cock C The concentrate will now be mixed with the water* in the tank. The mixing procedure lasts approx. 10 minutes.
- Loosen knurled screw E and remove mixer. Reinstall screw-top of filler neck.
