The ACOPOS drive system's backtrace function enables users to record and analyze the drive system application's behavior by capturing executed functions and events in chronological order.
Summary
The ACOPOS drive system's axis manager records every executed function or event in strict chronological order to its internal memory. This data can be downloaded using a USB memory stick for further analysis and support purposes.
Preconditions
- A compatible USB memory stick is required.
- Wait at least one minute between consecutive backtrace data downloads
Remedy
- Insert a USB memory stick into the axis manager's USB Interface IF5. (See picture below)
- The axis manager will automatically start the copy procedure once it recognizes the USB stick. The LED on the memory stick will blink during the copy process.
- Wait for the data to be written to the memory stick, which takes approximately 5 to 20 seconds. Do not remove the USB stick until the LED stops blinking.
- The backtrace information is saved as a 'xxxxxxxx.pd' file on the USB stick, where 'xxxxxxxx' is a unique name based on the axis manager's internal time system.
Result
The backtrace data will be successfully downloaded to the USB memory stick as a '.pd' file, which can be used for further analysis and support purposes.
