How to adjust the gap between the inductor and end ring
Issue
If the gap between the end ring and the inductor is too narrow, there is a possibility that the end ring will touch the inductor which will cause burn marks.
For the inductive coupling, the smaller the “air gap” is, the better the result will be. The smaller the "air gap" is the more effective the induction will heat the ring.
Procedure
- Move drives to zero point.
- Align the inductor C horizontally so that the end edge does not project beyond line Y.
- Align the inductor C vertically leaving a clearance of 0.5 to 1 mm to the end.
