How to deactivate one or several lane(s) on a UNISEAL HSS/HSX
Attention:
It is only possible to deactivate lanes 2 to 4. Lane 1 needs to remain active since it is the master lane.
Procedure:
- Before you begin, place the machine in the zero position and remove the foil punching tool on the lane(s) you wish to deactivate. Pos. C, E and D on the drawings below. All other components can remain in position.
- Insert the blind plug(s) on the lane(s) which will be deactivated.
Comment: for short production runs/trials, the remaining tools on the lane which has been deactivated do not need to be removed. For extensive production runs we do however recommend to remove the active parts of the tools to avoid premature wear.
- Select (F) lanes and set to 1 for one lane mode. After setting a reboot of the control is necessary for the changes to take effect.
Warning:
Before starting production, it is necessary to make sure that the de-stacker of the deactivated lane(s) is/are empty.
