Overlap parameter setting new or old version

Cause:

After a software upgrade the overlap check setting has changed.

New setting:

Welding profile

Original setting:

Description:

Causes the current to be reduced at the can trailing ends for visual overlap check. It also serves for the adjustment of the can leading end so that the current profile starts at the correct position.
The current is reduced in the welding machine via Pulsar/Unisoud in accordance with the welding profile. The current is reduced in the energy monitor via the “Current reduction” function.
If the $OverlapPointLength parameter is  > 0 mm, the can leading and trailing ends will be welded over the defined length. Thus, the overlap can be determined more precisely.
If the $OverlapPointLength parameter is = 0 mm, 7 mm of the can leading and trailing ends will not be welded. This corresponds to the welding profile that was previously used for overlap check.
If the “Overlap check” function is selected in the welding machine, all cans will be welded with this welding profile; if selected in the energy monitor, only the second can body; and if in production, the current can body.
